FWIW, Microsoft's STL has ingested <https://github.com/microsoft/STL/commit/78ff4618d4fa43eeb4bb714d76f27d88cf11a1b6> the boost implementation for the special functions for close to 2 years already (before that it needed to be installed by the user).
