@lntue: I verified the patch on an NVIDIA GPU using the the command `ninja -C ./build/runtimes/runtimes-nvptx64-nvidia-cuda-bins gpu-benchmark`

Everything builds and runs as expected, with no issues detected on the GPU benchmarks side.
