So, it seems that Jon's original patch did that on purpose to try to save space? But it seems weird since it breaks struct padding / alignment. That's from a separate patch I just included here to make it easier. The lack of stacked PRs is annoying. See https://github.com/llvm/llvm-project/pull/96370
