Hi, thanks for working on improving this optimization pass.

I stopped in the middle of the review because I think the solution you have adds a lot of complexity in the pass and I do not think this is needed to tackle the problem of slice with unit strides where it is mostly a matter of only applying the slice lower bounds inside the new indices.
