But this might constitute a broader scope than this issue. IIUC, I think the question here is: can we gain anything by continuing semantic analysis knowing that name resolution aborts? If answer is no, we should probably abort it as well. If the answer is yes, I would not see this as a definite fix, but probably a good enough mitigation.
