Thanks for adding this Ivan! I have some inline comments for you. I noticed that some of my comments seem similar to @eugeneepshteyn 's comments on your explicit-shape-bounds-spec PR, so I'd suggest you go back through those comments and make sure there are no additional issues duplicated here that I may have missed. I assume you developed these two additions in parallel and may not have overlooked a couple of them when applying changes for assumed-shape.
