[cfe-dev] Marking declarations as invalid

Hi,

Would someone mind explaining when (or when not) to mark a declaration,
i.e. FunctionDecl or VarDecl, an invalid declaration?

Then, if the declaration is marked invalid, at what do we look at/use that
information?
