I would personally like to have such a warning so I can fix my UB / portability issues.

However in my humble opinion if this warning is "spectacularly annoying" it does not belong in the compiler.

How about adding it in clang-tidy or the static analyser?

Personally I am fine with the gcc warning. Anyone who miss this warning can have it by using gcc also.
