[cfe-dev] Regression Suite Failure: Windows 64-bit Build

Dear Clang and LLVM Developers:




After some time working on this problem over the past week, I’ve been able to isolate the source of a number of failures of the regression suite on Windows. In particular, when using CMake configured on Windows 8.1 using the “Visual Studio 12 2013 Win64” configuration platform and the “native compilers” option, after configuring, generating, and then building on both the 3.5 release branch as well as master, a set of LLVM JIT regression tests fail do to numeric size mismatches. This does not occur on the “Visual Studio 12 2013” option, which builds a 32-bit version of clang instead of a 64-bit version of clang.
