It doesn’t change it, but I don’t quite see how it ever could have defaulted to hard-float (500.0.68 for example has basic support for the armv7em slice and defaults to hard-float, and that was long before I started meddling).

I seriously considered making it do so *as* a change, actually, but decided it might annoy more people than it helped.
