For llvm-commits, if a committer is not subscribed, I usually add them 
to the list of approved senders.  This used to never happen, but it's 
occurring more often these days.

Apparently not (to my surprise).  I got a message saying that my commit 
is awaiting moderation.

The cfe-commits list is one of the few LLVM-related mailing lists that I 
don't admin (or, at least, I don't think I do; I didn't get an admin 
moderator message for my commit email), so I haven't approved my own 
post and added my other email address to the accepted sender filters.
