[cfe-commits] [PATCH] for Bug7505 and three other related issues

I had submitted a larger than usual (for me) patch

to address bug 7505, and perhaps because it tried to do too many
things, I suspect it has received little attention on the list.  In
the off chance that someone was planning on reviewing it, please
ignore it for now; I have since decided to break down the patch into
its individual issues and submit them separately.  For those who have
the time and would be kind enough to review my patches and provide me
with feedback, the first such subissue-specific patch is here:
