This works quite well in conjunction with some mutation patterns that allow an instruction from an alternative FU to be substituted if the preferred FU is busy.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-family:"Book Antiqua",serif;mso-fareast-language:EN-US'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-family:"Book Antiqua",serif;mso-fareast-language:EN-US'>The VLWI nature of the target and the instruction selection and vectorisation are largely orthogonal.
