Both Tobias and Viet have Banger's Sausage House & Beer Garden (79 Rainey St - http://www.bangersaustin.com/). They have lots of outdoor seating (and indoor seating too). Rainey St is 0.3 miles from the convention center.

Viet also supplied this list of recommendations in case we want more choices: Roaring Fork (American), Sway (Thai), Green Mesquite BBQ, Carmelo's (Italian), Clay Pit (Indian)

Preferences between 6, 6:30 or 7pm as the starting time?
