[LLVMdev] Contributing the Apple ARM64 compiler backend

Depends how things progress in the meantime. I assume 1 will be done, so primarily 2 and continue the discussion on 3 which seems to have already started.

On 2, it would be good to have test and performance results from silicon, and even better to have live targets at the lab.

The upcoming EuroLLVM meeting is an opportune time as many of those who have been working on the ARMv8 backends from Apple, ARM, and QuIC will be attending. I suggest those and anyone else interested from the community, get together at the Hacker's Lab to work in person. This sounds like a really cool idea, but I'm curious, what phases of Jim's plan would you try to work on there?
