Do you have any /lib64/libc.so* or /usr/lib64/libc.so* ?

Are you still setting LIBRARY_PATH or LD_LIBRARY_PATH, as mentioned in:

https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/binutils/+bug/738098

?
