The issue is that tasks that are, depending on your point of view, part of being a good OSS citizen or “pro bono” like reviewing patches where I’ve suitable experience but which aren’t directly relevant for any work I’m engaged in is stuff that’s not part of my work time budget and combined with the multi-time-zone nature of the project often the only option is to do those at home where I can’t see a way to configure the webmail system to do this. So there’s various solutions: one would be that I just don’t do this sort of “good citizen” work any more.
