This exists today with the clang compilers Apple ships.

The test case below was created with the Apple shipping compiler with:

cc -o LLVM-bundle.macho-x86_64 hello.c -fembed-bitcode

So the test case is quite real.  Apple would very much like to have this functionally in llvm-obdump so it can be used as a replacement to the old otool-classic(1) that has this functionality.
