[llvm-commits] What do we do with ChangeLogs when back porting patches to llvm-gcc?

I would like to port

Into llvm-gcc. At the time there was no COPYING3 file, so this should
be OK, but I was wondering what is normally done with the ChangeLog.

I would love to just put it on the commit log, but I am not sure if
that is the practice on llvm-gcc :-)
