On Phabricator, the code review would get pinged in case the commit ended up being reverted. That way, the author would know that the review needed to be picked up again, etc.
That isn't true on GitHub anymore AFAICT. However, we could have a GitHub Action that gets triggered on commits and checks whether the commit is a revert. If it is, it could e.g. comment on the original PR to mention that it has been reverted, so that the author gets a notification of that.
