<pre>Currently, clang/lib/Driver/Distro.cpp looks at the host system to determine
what distro it is targeting.
Given the way this information is used (e.g. --hash-style=gnu vs.
--hash-style=sysv vs. --hash-style=both in
clang/lib/Driver/ToolChains/Linux.cpp), it would make more sense to look at the
target triplet.
e.g. ToolChains/Linux.cpp says Redhat should use --hash-style=gnu and Debian
should use --hash-style=both. In the current situation, someone running
clang -target x86_64-debian-linux-gnu test.c
on an x86_64-redhat-linux-gnu box (essentially trying to crosscompile to
something very similar) will get --hash-style=gnu while the target system would
expect a binary to be built with --hash-style=both</pre>
