<pre>I'm closing this very old bug. It turned out in the end that the problem was
not caused by the compiler, but by a stack-overrun error in the sqlite library.
It has (long) since been fixed and the latest sqlite libraries do not exhibit
this issue. The change in code generation between clang 3.8 and 4.0 simply
brought this to light.</pre>
