workaround I implemented a few years ago with one that addresses a few other
issues. Both are actually workarounds for the fact that clang doesn't always
insert dsymutil steps when temporary objects are generated.
The fix for this should be pretty straight forward and I intend to post a
patch. I'm filing this so that Daniel can refer to it in a comment with his
patch so we can track the version of clang it gets resolved in.</pre>
