        <pre>FreeBSD has officially switched head for powerpc64 over
to llvm/clang 9.0.1 based. So the fix is confirmed in
standard builds for the context, not just special ones.

The fix  had been in use during the development of the
switch over from gcc 4.2.1 and so has a fair amount of
history at this point as well.</pre>
