<pre>This is a longstanding compatibility issue and we've already decided that this
is the preferred behavior. Clang parses inline assembly in an effort to get
consistent diagnostic output regardless of whether an object file or assembly
file is emitted.
There is a flag to disable this, but I forget what it is. Maybe it's
-fno-integrated-as.</pre>
