        <pre>Devirtualization to pure virtual function fixed in r286534; that should make
your link error go away, and for now we're leaving the virtual call in place in
this case rather than (say) devirtualizing to a direct call of
__cxa_pure_virtual. I would still highly recommend finding a different approach
for this code, though, since you are still at risk of this undefined behavior
ceasing to (happen to) work in the future, in Clang or another optimizing
compiler.</pre>
