<pre>$ clang --param ssp-buffer-size=1 foo.c
$ clang --param ssp-buffer-size=1 -c foo.c
$ clang --param ssp-buffer-size=1 foo.o
clang: warning: argument unused during compilation: '--param ssp-buffer-size=1'
This inconsistency confuses a mosh (<a href="https://github.com/keithw/mosh">https://github.com/keithw/mosh</a>) autoconf
test into thinking the flag is supported, leading to warnings (or with -Werror,
errors) emitted later in a build.
