            Bug ID: 33405
Summary: [meta] Using the integrated assembler to build the
FreeBSD base system (kernel + world)
           Product: new-bugs
           Version: unspecified
          Hardware: PC
                OS: FreeBSD
            Status: NEW
          Severity: enhancement
          Priority: P
         Component: new bugs
          Assignee: unassignedbugs at nondot.org
          Reporter: emaste at freebsd.org
                CC: llvm-bugs at lists.llvm.org

FreeBSD supports 32- and 64-bit x86, arm, mips, and powerpc, as well as sparc64
and 64-bit RISC-V. We are working on migrating to a fully permissively licensed
tool chain, and as part of this we expect to use the integrated assembler for
all of our asm source.

This bug will depend on those issues that prevent us from fully using the
integrated assembler across all architectures.
