Hi! This part of the steps for reproduction:

  ../source/configure --prefix=../install

doesn't work any more, as it emits an error:

  configure: error: expected an absolute directory name for --prefix:
../install

so I'm going to close this bug. Anyone with similar symptoms that aren't
resolved should file a new bug with correct steps to reproduce.
