             Bug #: 11727
Summary: Where are the man pages?
           Product: Documentation
           Version: trunk
          Platform: PC
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: NEW
          Severity: enhancement
          Priority: P
         Component: General docs
        AssignedTo: unassignedbugs at nondot.org
        ReportedBy: haziz at mac.com
                CC: llvmbugs at cs.uiuc.edu
    Classification: Unclassified

I installed Clang 3.1/LLVM 3.0 on a server as a local install. Clang, which I
use exclusively for C compiling, works fine, but I cannot access the man pages.
Where are the man pages created by the standard source compile? I installed
based on the instructions on the Clang website:

http://clang.llvm.org/get_started.html

Does this also generate a set of man pages? If yes where are they. If not how
do I generate them? FWIW I ran the configure and make commands on the llvm,
clang and compiler-rt repositories exactly as directed on the above website. On
searching I found references on setting up a MANPATH enviromental variable, but
have never done so in the past (I have with PATH, suspect MANPATH is similar).
Please be detailed in your description of how to do it. I am a relative newbie
at this.

Any assistance would be appreciated.

Thanks.
