When the "p argc" fails, it would be interesting to try "frame variable" to see
whether LLDB believes the variable is available in the current frame.
You could also try
(lldb) image lookup -va `$pc`
Let's look at this again and see if it's still an issue. Preliminary tests
suggest this no longer fails.</pre>
