Hi Jim/Zach,

It seems like a really good idea to use the override keyword.  IIUC it
basically lets you assert that there is a function with the same signature
in the base class that it needs to bind to.

I would guess that almost everyone has been bitten by lack of this assert
at some point (or multiple times) in the past.
