Would two flags `LIBUNWIND_ENABLE_SHARED_PIC` and `LIBUNWIND_ENABLE_STATIC_PIC` sound good to you? Then we could default shared to `ON`, but static to `OFF`.
Enabling PIC in static builds is something I need.
