  I looked and I don't see how it can solve my problem (yet?). I will be happy to make some refactoring to the code later, if tracking changes is not needed anymore. In fact, I think the code will have to be update when headers' replacements will be written on disk. The tool merging the headers should probably be the one responsible of the reformatting. In the meantime it seems to be the appropriate solution to get the reformatting working.
