Hello,

it seems my last reply to the initial thread got lost in cfe-commit's activity. I have rebased
my patch and attached it to this mail. It passes all of clang's tests and includes tests for
its modifications. I tested bootstrap performance; a 2nd stage clang took less than one percent
more time to compile clang than before.

Please review and, if ok, commit.
